CSTS Dinamika has delivered one training complex for the Mi‑8AMTSh helicopter flight and technical personnel and three systems of the same composition for the Mi‑8MTV‑5 helicopter. Procured by the RF Ministry of Defense within the framework of State Defense Order 2015, the complexes were delivered to their respective deployment sites after all the necessary acceptance documents were properly finalized with the MoD Quality Control Agency.

A training complex is basically a turnkey solution that will enable a full ground training cycle for the air unit personnel directly involved in combat missions. The systems delivered under the 2015 State Defense Order have the following configuration:

  • computer-based training (CBT) system for flight and technical personnel theoretical training;

  • full mission simulator for aircrews;

  • tactical environment simulation system;

  • forward air controller (FAC) station;

  • objective progress assessment station.

“We have been providing the RF Ministry of Defense with state-of-the-art training complexes for a while now,” says Vladimir Khvostantsev, General Director for CSTS Dinamika, “But our focus is not on aircrew training only. While it is very important to train those who will operate new aircraft accepted for service by the Russian Army, we must keep in mind just how sophisticated modern training systems are. That is why we put a lot of effort in the training of engineers and technicians who will provide maintenance of our new training complexes. It is their competence and skill that will contribute greatly to the extension of the simulators’ service life and failure-free operation.”

Serial deliveries of the Mi‑8AMTSh and Mi‑8MTV‑5 training complexes began as far back as 2011, when Dinamika was declared winner of the RF MoD open bidding for the delivery of new training complexes for the needs of the Russian Air Force. By then Dinamika’s Mi‑8AMTSh and Mi‑8MTV‑5 training complex prototypes had already passed state testing, which resulted in the recommendations for their serial manufacturing.

JSC CSTS Dinamika is a leading provider of state-of-the-art solutions in the development, manufacturing and after-sale service of a full line of technical training aids for civil and military aircrews and technical personnel. Another area of interest for CSTS Dinamika is development of engineering simulators for new aircraft R&D and flight test support.
